Today marks Gwen's 7 month birthday. So many wonderful things have happened in the last 7 months, just a reminder of how quickly life goes...especially as Uncle Cory is graduating from high school this year and I remember him running around as a curly haired monkey in diapers just as it was yesterday. Where does the time go?
As of today, in Gwen's 7 months, she has 2 teeth (both on the bottom), has had 4 ear infections, can sit by herself, almost crawls, rolls both ways, loves to sleep on her tummy, thinks the jumperoo is pretty cool - along with her furry brother and her highchair seat. There hasn't been any baby food so far that she doesn't like, but you can definitely tell that fruits are still preferred.
We had to retire the vibrating bouncy seat and the floor mat jungle gym, but replaced the bouncy seat with an infant to toddler vibrating rocking chair. A large bucket of toys has replaced the floor gym. Once I found her underneath the gym trying to chew on the bottom...it had to go. She seems to like sitting a bit higher off the floor (see picture). It's almost time to pull out the baby gates and make sure the baby locks are reinstalled on all the cupboards (done originally by our home's previous owner...thank you!)
We've been to the softball field quite a bit to watch dad and it's fun to see Gwen sitting in her stroller taking it all in. She smiles at everyone! She's also become a hit at our favorite little Mexican restaurant. The girls there are sure to come over and take their turns holding Gwen while mom and dad scarf down their food. She's quite the charmer and gives great hugs...all the while trying to rip your hair out she gets so excited. We are pretty lucky...on many levels, but especially to have a content, happy baby (majority of the time...knock on wood).
